I started Launching Your Success in late August 2014 when I decided it was time to turn my side-projects into an official business. The first three years had their ups and downs, but these past two years have been filled with tremendous challenges and opportunities. I feel so privileged and grateful to do what I love every day. Well, not EVERY day. Some days are filled with budgets, spreadsheets, tough decisions, and all the necessary yet un-sexy work of running a business.
MOST days are filled with:
Radical idea exploration
The joy of content creation
Watching a room full of people light up with inspiration
Turning good sales teams into great sales teams
Helping creative entrepreneurs launch to new heights
I am supported by a handful of exceptional collaborators. The only thing I would change about the past five years is that I would have brought these remarkable people in sooner. The biggest lesson I’ve learned as a small business owner is that you cannot and should not do it alone. I literally could not do what I do without them.
I’ve enjoyed many spontaneous and energetic conversations at conferences and workshops with participants who connected strongly with my message. Prepping for these types of events can be daunting, but the laughter, high fives, and hugs in the hallway after a speech make all that prep work worth it.
I’ve had the honor of working with revolutionary creatives, passionate storytellers, misunderstood geniuses, powerful leaders, thoughtful inventors, steadfast writers, community builders, and world-changers. Some of you are easy like Sunday morning, and some of you are a hard day’s night, but all of you have taught me so much. My enthusiasm for your success is limitless.
If you are reading this, thank you.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of launching your success. I can’t wait to see what the next five years will bring.
